The 30% federal residential solar tax credit will expire on Dec 31, 2025.
To qualify, the system and any battery storage must be installed, “placed in service”, and energized by Dec 31, 2025. Given the short timeframe before the deadline, new project submissions during or after November 2025 are unlikely to be completed and be in service before December 31, 2025.
