COVID-19 Update: Lifeline Documentation Does Not Need to Be Notarized

The Lifeline program offers income-qualified customers a reduced rate and exemptions from the monthly customer service charge and Utility User’s Tax. During the crisis, the supporting financial documentation will not need to be notarized.

Applications are accepted by mail. They can also be dropped off at our lobby Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 5 PM.

The Lifeline program offers income qualified customers an exemption from the monthly Customer Service Charge, the Utility User's Tax, and a reduced rate on Electric Service.

If you meet either of the two conditions above, download and complete the Lifeline application and submit it to BWP for review. Applications must be submitted with copies of required documentation for ALL household members.
