Tree Clearance from Power Lines
As a Community-Owned Utility, Your Safety is Our Top Priority
Tree branches touching or falling into power lines are a major cause of power outages in Burbank. Proper tree clearance plays a direct role in keeping you and your neighbors safe. It also directly impacts BWP’s ability to provide you reliable electric service when you need it.

Tree Clearance in High-Risk Fire Areas
Trees and vegetation must be kept to a minimum of 4 feet away from BWP’s power lines year-round in Burbank's high-risk fire areas. Before the 2020 fire season begins, we are asking all customers located within this fire zone to trim any trees that are not in compliance by May 31, 2020.
