The City of Burbank is now is Stage 1 of the Sustainable Water Use Ordinance. This means that
landscape watering with sprinklers is allowed up to 3 days per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and
Saturdays only. Watering by hand is allowed on any day and at any time. See below for Stage 1
water waste violations. If you see a water waste infraction and report it to us using this form, BWP
will send an anonymous letter to the address provided.

Watering on Non-designated days (Designated days are Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday)
Note: There are no restrictions for hand-watering. (Must use shut-off nozzle)
Watering with sprinklers on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Sunday.
Watering with sprinklers for more than 15 minutes per irrigation station (low volume irrigation systems exempted)
Watering with sprinklers during daylight hours
Over spraying or misdirected sprinkler(s) causing significant run-off into streets, sidewalks and other paved surfaces
Using a hose to wash driveways, patios, sidewalks or other hard or paved surfaces
Watering on rainy days and/or at least two days thereafter
Washing vehicle(s) without a bucket or hand-held hose with a positive self-closing water shut-off device
Leak(s) from plumbing fixture(s) or broken sprinkler head(s)
