Recycled Water System Expansion Construction Phases Summary
Phase I
This phase connected Wildwood Canyon’s landscape irrigation to the recycled water system and was completed in 2009.
Phase II
This phase will expand the use of recycled water to the northeast quadrant of Burbank and will serve public parks, street medians and commercial customers in the area. The Northeastern Extension will feature a recycled water interconnect with the City of Glendale.
Phase III
This extension will extend the use of recycled water to the west of the city to supply Valhalla Memorial Park, 5 Burbank Unified School District (BUSD) schools and 5 Burbank City parks. This extension will also feature a state of the art subterranean booster station in Vikroy Park.
Phase IV
This Extension will deliver recycled water to three major studios in the southern part of Burbank, which are: NBC, Disney and Warner Bros. This extension will serve 4 studio complexes, 5 City Parks, 4 BUSD Schools, St. Joseph’s Hospital, and Fotochem.
Phase V
This Extension will deliver recycled water to northern parts of Burbank. 5 City Parks, 4 BUSD Schools, Woodbury University, and I5 freeway landscape (Caltrans) will be served with recycled water.
Phase VI
LA Equestrian Center Extension to serve LA Equestrian Center, 2 City Parks, and 2 BUSD Schools.
