When To Pay Your Bill

Your bill is due and payable when you receive it. The bill becomes delinquent 18 days later. Additional charges may be assessed for late payments, collections visits, disconnection and reconnection of service. BWP charges a 1.5% late fee on unpaid balances not received by the due date printed on the bill.

How to Pay Your Bill

BWP accepts payments by mail, in person, by drop-off, and electronically.

To pay by mail, send your bill stub and check or money order to:

Burbank Water and Power
P.O. Box 631
Burbank, CA 91503-0631

To pay in person, come to our offices at 164 West Magnolia Blvd. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to accept payments, establish or discontinue water and electric service, and answer any questions you might have. BWP is located on Magnolia Blvd. between Victory Blvd. and First Street. Our cashiers can accept cash, check or money order payments.

Payments can also be dropped off in special payment boxes. These payment boxes can be found at these locations around town:

  • BWP (to the left of the main entrance)

  • City Hall Foyer (275 East Olive Ave.)

  • Izay Park (1111 West Olive Ave., in rear parking lot)

  • Police/Fire Building Foyer (311 East Orange Grove Ave.)

  • Joslyn Adult Center (1301 West Olive Ave.)

  • Tuttle Center (1731 North Ontario St.)

Please do not put cash in payment boxes. Payments made to any other agency are at your own risk and are not considered paid until posted to your BWP account.

Payments may also be made electronically through BWP's Flash Pay Program or E-Check.

Flash Pay is a direct debit program that works with your bank for a quick and simple way to pay your municipal services bill. For more information on Flash Pay and the Flash Pay enrollment form, please click here.

E-Check is BWP's newest payment option. It gives Burbank residential and commercial customers the ability to write and send a check payment -- without ever having to actually write a check and mail it in. Making an E-Check payment online is fast, simple and secure. The fee for using E-Check is based on the amount of the transaction. Just $5 for payments under $10,000 and $20 for payments over $10,000. To use E-Check, simply click here and follow the five easy steps. Your E-Check payment will post the next business day.

BWP also accepts credit card payments over the phone and through the Internet. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. This credit card payment service is safe, reliable, and is in accordance with all state and government regulations. Credit card payments will post immediately to your BWP account.

Credit card payments are processed by Official Payments Corporation.  For this service, they charge a $4.95 convenience fee per transaction. There is no limit to the number of transactions that can be made at any time. The total fee charged by OPC will be listed for your information and approval prior to submitting your credit card payment. To use this payment option over the phone, simply call Burbank Water and Power at 818-238-3700.

For credit card payments through the Internet, click here to get started and follow the prompts. To make phone or Internet credit card payments, you will need your new BWP account number which appears on all bills issued after April 1, 2004. If you do not know what your new account number is, please call our customer care center at 238-3700. Payments must be received by 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday to guarantee same day reconnection of service.
