June 1, 2009. The Metropolitan Water District (MWD) is currently out of funds for residential and business rebates for water-saving equipment, including toilets. In order to keep the water conservation momentum going, BWP will be providing Burbank’s residents and businesses with cash rebates for High Efficiency Toilets, urinals and high-efficiency clothes washers until such time that the MWD is able to once again provide rebates.

The rebate process will continue to be run by MWD and a reservation for the funds is still required! Burbank businesses must contact MWD’s “Save Water, Save a Buck” program to reserve your rebate PRIOR to your toilet, urinal or clothes washer purchase! Multi-Family Program Water-Saving Devices

Cash Rebates on Water Saving Devices for Apartments, Condominiums, Town Homes and Mobile Homes.

To qualify, complexes must have a total of 5 units or more, or be represented by an HOA or Property Management Company with a combined total of 5 units or more.

Plumbing Fixtures:
High Efficiency Toilets (Dual Flush, or 1.28 gpf or less Toilet) (1.28 gpf or less replacing existing toilet of 1.6 gpf or more)	$50
High Efficiency Toilet New Construction (New Construction installing 1.28 gpf or less)	$30
High Efficiency Clothes Washers (Water factor of 4.0 or less) (In-unit installation only)	$50

Commercial Program Water-Saving Devices

"Commercial" sites include: multi-family property common areas, industrial, institutional, and commercial properties.

High Efficiency Toilets (HET)

HETs use no more than 1.28 gallons of water per flush. This water usage is about 20% below the current Ultra Low Flush Toilet plumbing standard of 1.6 gallons-per-flush. Rebates are no longer offered on Ultra Low Flush toilets. New construction and installations requiring a building permit must purchase High Efficiency Toilets to be eligible for a rebate.

SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL HOUSEHOLDS
