Energy-Efficiency Can Help You Reduce Your Taxes!
The Energy Policy Act of 2005 provides some new federal income tax incentives for specific energy-efficiency upgrades to homes and commercial buildings. These include home insulation and windows and commercial building lighting improvements. The law also authorizes tax credits for hybrid vehicles, efficient appliances, heating and cooling systems, solar energy systems, and high-efficiency new home and commercial building construction.
A new website from the Tax Incentives Assistance Project has been designed to help individuals cut their federal taxes and their energy bills in 2006 and 2007 by providing information on new federal income tax incentives in the Energy Policy Act of 2005:
This website is a joint effort of the Alliance to Save Energy, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy and the California Energy Commission.
