Home Rewards Rebate Requirements
The Home Rewards application lists the program eligibility requirements for each item included in the program. As you will see, the majority of the items simply require the Energy Star™ label.
 |
Energy Star is a labeling program created by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Energy Star is a short cut for consumers, letting them know which appliances and products have high energy-efficiency levels. While Energy Star™ products may be more costly to purchase, they usually end up costing less overall than their non-efficient counterparts. That's due to the energy savings realized over the life of the products. For a full list of Energy Star™ products, visit EnergyStar.gov. |
* Please Note: Receive an additional $100 (while funds last) on high efficiency Clothes Washers with a qualifying water factor. The Water Factor designates how many gallons of water are used to wash each cubic foot of laundry. The lower the Water Factor number, the greater the water efficiency of the clothes washer. Until June 30, 2008, the qualifying water factor is 6.0 or less to qualify for the additional $100 rebate. Effective July 1, 2008, the qualifying water factor will be 5.0 or less. Please visit EnergyStar.gov for water factor verification or call BWP’s Conservation Services at 818-238-3730.
** For Refrigerators, there is an additional requirement in order for customers to receive a rebate: the existing refrigerator must be recycled by ONE of the following methods:
- Calling the City of Burbank Public Works Department a t (818) 238-3800 to schedule a pick-up appointment. Please note that this number is different from the Bulky Item pick-up.
OR
- Your retailer/place of purchase may haul away your old refrigerator. If you use this option, please make sure that your original sales receipt states “haul away.”
